Peace and Conflict Resolution Minor

The Interdisciplinary Peace Studies program requires its minors to complete a semester-long Professional Practice internship (IDS 398.01), as well as an abbreviated in-course service component (IDS 111) in almost any area of dispute resolution and peacemaking. Students are expected to learn and to apply strategies to prevent/mitigate violence, including social oppression, discrimination and marginalization at both the micro and macro levels, in order to attain a more just and equitable community.
